BLU Merges with BamaLax

Here at BLU and Bamalax we are incredibly excited to announce that we will now be merging both programs as one. The concept of bringing us all together has been on the minds of many coaches and parents over the last couple years, and we are proud to be able to bring that to you. Bringing both programs together has multiple advantages. First, this will allow us to bring the best of the best in Alabama to be all together on ONE Elite Program. It will be a great opportunity to bring not only the best players onto one team, but coaches also. Another advantage to merging allows us the ability to participate in showcase type tournaments outside our southern area. This will provide more chances for our HS players that are looking to play at the next level. Having both Casey Kear and Jason Lange as college coaches from BSC and UM for our HS teams gives our boys a massive advantage. This advantage will not stop at coaching, but will continue by using their experience in the recruiting process to help any player that wants to play at the collegiate level. Casey and Jason have multiple connections with DI DII and DIII programs. They will be able to use their connections to help your son get to the college of their choice.  Casey will be doing recruiting meetings so we can understand each player’s desire to play at the next level. We will target the right programs based on abilities, academics, price, and geography.

It is not all about just HS Elite. By bringing both storied programs together we are able to spread out the great High School coaches in the area across all of our Youth Elite Teams. We know that every great program starts with the youth and in developing them to become the best player to their ability. Having some of the top coaching talent in the state working with the younger age groups will ensure we have that kind of talented and structured base in place. We will still have local programs for players that want to play at local/southern tournaments and develop their skill set. Our goal is to have multiple teams in each graduation year, 1 elite team and one select team. In many years of coaching I have seen select players turn into great elite players and went on to play in college. By bringing BLU and Bamalax together we can ensure that we maintain our commitment to develop all players in every age group.

Attached is a tryout google doc that we use for planning. It is not registration that will come out later.

Once we get the information, we will send out tryout’s dates, tournament dates etc.

Please fill in the google doc by March 27th
