Coach Nace started his lacrosse career in 8th grade as an attackman at The Perkiomen School but moved to goalie a short time after. He continued his High School career at Northfield Mt Hermon in Northfield, Massachusetts and went on to play goalie at Division III Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Va.
Coaching Career
Coach Nace moved to the Birmingham shortly after college and became an assistant coach at Mountain Brook High School. In 2005 Coach Nace was named associate head coach and goalie coach for Hoover High School under Head Coach Chris Cos and won the state championship in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Coach Nace took over as Head Coach at Vestavia High School in 2011 and was named Alabama Lacrosse coach of the year. In 2012 he was named the head lacrosse coach at The University of Alabama, where they made the SELC tournament. After a short stint at Alabama, Coach Nace returned to Vestavia High School as the head coach and lead the Rebels to 6 state championship appearances, named coach of the year in 2017 and 2019 and was inducted in the Alabama Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2018.
